A Worthy Performance – William, Grade 10

This personal narrative is written by one of my grade 10 students. He has vividly described the setting as well as his emotions, helping readers better imagine the challenge. He has also used a number of literary devices, such as simile and imagery, to help readers imagine the events in the story. Even though he does not directly state his thesis, his message is aptly summed up in the last few words of the narrative.

The Now Empty Cage – William, Grade 7
