My Bedroom
My bedroom is a small, plain room. It fulfills its purpose as a bedroom; it is cozy enough for a person to comfortably sleep in. My bedroom is but a luxurious and spacious bedroom considering its dull coloured walls and meager furniture. But, it has soft, fluffy carpets, which I find pleasant to step on first thing in the morning.
The biggest piece of furniture after my bed is a wooden shelf, which lies in the left corner of my bedroom, holding miscellaneous or rarely-used items. The top of the shelf is covered with a smooth blanket, which embeds my alarm clock and a wet tissue box. A small plastic bin stands next to the shelf to accompany the latter for the occasion that I do use the tissues.
Right next to the shelf, though, is my close to queen-sized bed with its yellow sheets. The blanket can sometimes have a damp scent after a session of sleeping. Its area covers a little bigger than the top surface of the bed. There are two gray pillowcases at the head of my bed. Though one is more solid than the other, both can be comfortable pillows to lay my head-on. I can easily doze off on my bed since, except the occasional buzzing of the air conditioner, the room is fairly quiet.
Pointing right from the bed is a surprisingly large window for a small bedroom like mine. It is big enough to allow three people to view the front yard while feeling the breeze or warm air rushing out of the air conditioner. Though the windows look modern and stylish, they lack proper insulation, which explains why I usually feel a chilling breeze as soon as winter arrives.
While the windows are to the right of the bed, my closet lies directly opposite the bed on the other side. Being a decently spacious closet, it accommodates most of my clothing, from socks to jackets. The fragrance of the laundry is distinguishable once the closet doors are opened. Though my room rarely gets perfume sprayed, it usually has a fresh scent with the exception of the bed and the pillows.
My bedroom is a room without much purpose other than sleeping. Its simple layout and its minimalist style make untidiness and disarray mostly absent. It fulfills what a bedroom should do and nothing more or less.
